Stewards spoke to Mr S.Tabb, the Trainer of Deltoid regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Deltoid was charged with marring. Mr. Tabb pleaded guilty to the charge, Deltoid was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Kennett underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to turning it's head inwards on the home turn and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mrs. J. Greenough, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Aston Kennett was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Greenough pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Kennett was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from I'm Talking - winner of the event.

Due to a mechanical issue with the lure the start time of this race was amended from 3:39pm to 3:44pm.

Mr Mooney pleaded guilty to the charge, Birdbrook was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
