Hill Top, Star Daze and Flying Mercedes collided approaching the first turn checking Hill Top and Flying Mercedes. Star Daze lost ground approaching the first turn. Star Daze and Evan's Almighty collided approaching the home turn checking Star Daze.

Nimuway underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left wrist and triangle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Lewis Green regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Nimuway was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Green pleaded guilty to the charge, Nimuway was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Star Daze underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Spanish Gold was very slow to begin (4L). Unique Faith, Ladies Get Grace and Klous collided approaching the first turn checking Ladies Get Grace and Klous. Lot Of Poise and Mountain Stew collided on the first turn checking Mountain Stew. Ladies Get Grace, Klous and Mountain Stew collided approaching the home turn checking Mountain Stew. Lot Of Poise galloped on My Name's Chelle approaching the home turn. My Name's Chelle turned it's head outwards and marred Lot Of Poise on the home turn. Spanish Gold and Mountain Stew raced wide on the home turn.

My Name's Chelle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Rodney Clark, the trainer of My Name's Chelle regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) My Name's Chelle was charged with marring. Mr. Clark pleaded guilty to the charge, My Name's Chelle was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Klous - unplaced in the event.

Memphis Rose was slow to begin. Chuck Attack, Smug Doug and Devil's Water collided approaching the first turn checking Devil's Water. Show Me Heaven, Cosmetic Rose and Was A Bingle collided on the first turn severely checking Show Me Heaven and Cosmetic Rose. Show Me Heaven raced wide on the home turn. Cosmetic Rose and Smug Doug collided on the home turn.

Cosmetic Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have a laceration on the left fore leg. A 14 day stand down down period was imposed.

Supasonic Romeo and Back Pat collided approaching the first turn. Supasonic Romeo, Back Pat and Natalia Lee collided on the first turn. Twilight Blaze and Devine Empress collided on the first turn checking Twilight Blaze. Supasonic Romeo and Natalia Lee collided approaching the home turn checking Natalia Lee.

Fernando Mark – Late scratching at 7:23am when Trainer Mr J.Portelli reported the greyhound to have a Metacarpal injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Millie Marlaine and Solsbury Avenue were quick to begin. Kraken Stan was slow to begin. Big Flatty and Winlock Benny collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Big Flatty and Winlock Benny collided approaching the first turn checking Winlock Benny. Big Flatty checked off Kraken Stan approaching the home turn. Solsbury Avenue and Palmistry collided approaching the home turn checking Palmistry.

Margaret's Heart checked off Wicked One soon after the start. Newtown Jet and Wicked One collided approaching the first turn. Island Chief and Kraken Count collided on the first turn checking Kraken Count. Newtown Jet and Wicked One collided approaching the home turn. Wrangler Jane and Wicked One collided on the home turn. Wrangler Jane and Margaret's Heart collided in the home straight. Margaret's Heart and Wicked One collided approaching the winning post.

Jocularity was a late scratching at 7:43am by Order of Stewards. No stand down period was imposed. 

Don't Know Jake and All Fear collided soon after the start. Boom Buster and Don't Know Jake collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.

Aston Edwin, Kraken Jock and He's A Geezer collided soon after the start checking Aston Edwin. Aston Edwin and Kraken Jock collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. He's A Geezer checked off Wisdom approaching the first turn. College Boy and All Inn Abby collided on the first turn checking College Boy which collided with He's A Geezer. He's A geezer, Colleg Boy and Thunderbolt Jack collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds.

Sparkle Debacle and She's A Looker collided on the first turn checking Sparkle Debacle, She's A Looker and Kraken Pearler. Stride For Pride and Sparkle Debacle collided on the second turn severely checking Stride For Pride which tailed off as a result.

Stride For Pride underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain and left monkey muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr J.Mangion regarding the greyhounds manners entering the home straight. Mr Mangion stated that the greyhound had been trialling average time over the 650m distance and he thought that the greyhound would improve in this race today. Mr Mangion further added that he will not be nominating the greyhound, Stride For Pride over the 650m distance and will nominate over the 545m. Stewards noted his comments and took no further action. 

Sparkle Debacle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain and right biceps injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to handler Mr J.Formosa regarding the racing manners of Sparkle Debacle approaching the second turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Formosa, viewing all the available race footage, taking into account the injury sustained and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the second turn.

Jae's Wheels crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Big Cohuna, checking Big Cohuna, Jingles, Rival Wiggy and Keep The Spirit, severely checking Slippery Swan and  Madison Rose and causing Jae's Wheels to turn its head inwards. Jae's Wheels and Top Plain collided approaching the first turn. Jae's Wheels collided on the first turn checking Top Plain. Jae's Wheels and Top Plain collided approaching the home turn severely checking Top Plain. Slippery Swan and Jingles collided approaching the home turn checking Jingles. Jingles and Top Plain collided on the home turn. Top Plain eased approaching the winning post.

Jae's Wheels underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apprent injury was found.

Stewards spoke to Handler Mr D.Boots regarding the racing manners of Jae's Wheels soon after the start. After hearing evidence from Mr Boots, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start.

Top Plain underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. John Mangion regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Top Plain was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Mangion pleaded guilty to the charge, Top Plain was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bongino was quick to begin. Nightcore was slow to begin. Bull Montana galloped on the heels of Aston Syrah on the first turn checking Aston Syrah, Commision and Kraken Rover and severely checking Nightcore and Bull Montana and causing Bull Montana to fall as a result.

Bull Montana underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left groin muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Super Sparkle and Blazin' Diamonds were slow to begin. Super Sparkle and Call Me Jade collided soon after the start checking Super Sparkle. Road To Cairns and Tony Tells Tales collided approaching the first turn. Call Me Jade, Road To Cairns and Tony Tells Tales collided on the first turn checking Road To Cairns and severely checking Call Me Jade and Tony Tells Tales.
