Steward's Report
Crown Jimmy and Seabrook Short collided soon after the start. Gypsy Andy checked off Wishly Bale soon after the start. Rock Opera and Squeaky Mouse collided approaching the first turn. Got One Fernando checked off Seabrook Short on the home turn severely checking Wishly Bale causing it to fall. Rock Opera and Gregarious collided entering the home straight and several times in the home straight.
Rock Opera underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left dew claw and an oral lesion. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Wishly Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left deltoid, right hip and bruising to left and right hock areas. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Thomas Boehmke regarding the racing manners of Rock Opera approaching the first turn. After hearing evidence from Mr. Boehmke, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.
