All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Ocean Jewel and Aston Illusion collided soon after the start.  Rockstar Austin faltered at the 300m mark and tailed off as a result.

Rockstar Austin underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following Race 5.  Rockstar Austin was found to have injuries to the left hip and left shoulder.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr Adrian Smit, the trainer of Rockstar Austin regarding its performance in this event.  In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr Smit to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Rockstar Austin in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. 

Victory Heist was slow to begin.

Sunny Bokai stumbled at box rise and collided with Victory Heist, checking Sunny Bokai.

Sunny Bokai underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Galaxy.

Ripper Reiko and Down Under Boy collided soon after the start.  Victory Boy and Smiling Spaniard collided soon after the start.  Ripper Reiko checked off Aston Galaxy at the 300m mark.  Smiling Spaniard and Soho Expresso collided at the 200m mark and again at the 150m mark.

Trickity Click, Moody Girl and My Dad Baz collided soon after the start.  Moody Girl and My Dad Baz collided approaching the 250m mark checking Moody Girl.  Golden Boy and My Dad Baz collided approaching the 200m mark.  Trickity Click and Aston Camille collided at the 125m mark.

Quick Shadow - Late scratching at 7:38am when trainer, Mr Stefano Cassar reported the greyhound to have an infection (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Demon Flyer and Jefferson County collided soon after the start.  Jefferson County, Beers On Brody and Alfie Solomon collided at the 300m mark.  Beers On Brody and Alfie Solomon collided approaching the 150m mark.

Beers On Brody underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left pencil and left triangle muscles.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Jefferson County - the winner of the event. 

A sample was taken from Blackpool Astro upon arrival at the course.

Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Barry Priest and issued a warning regarding the boxing manners of McIvor Stretch, in accordance with GAR 52.

Stirling Lights crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Silver Ability and Distinguish.  Silver Ability crossed to the outside at the 300m mark.  Gel Blaster and Ballara Bullet collided at the 300m mark.  Distinguish and Zero collided at the 275m mark.  Distinguish galloped on Zero at the 250m mark.

Duncan and Flying Fifi were slow to begin.

Major Cyclone, Flying Fifi and Harland Digger collided soon after the start.  Rear View Mirror and Texicali Tiger collided at the 275m mark.

McIvor Bonnie and Skip's Turn collided soon after the start.  Orson Delight and Silver Harp collided at the 150m mark.  Together We Can contacted the running rail at the 125m mark.

Together We Can underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Stewards issued a warning to Ms Paula Boots after being late to kennel her greyhounds which resulted in the kennels closing approximately 10 minutes late.
