The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 minute to allow track staff to remove wildlife from the track.
Brewski Bruce, Way Up North, Jen Jumbo Prawn and Lucy's Villa collided soon after the start, checking Way Up North and Lucy's Villa. Perfect Colour, Pirates Patch and Matt's Hope collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Pirates Patch and Matt's Hope. Way Up North checked off Perfect Colour on the home turn and collided with Pirates Patch, checking both greyhounds.
A post-race sample was taken from Brewski Bruce - the winner of the event.
