Steward's Report
Bugs, King Kenny, Our Rascal, Oriental Onyx and Miss Bazaar collided on the first turn checking Bugs, King Kenny, Our Rascal and Hasten Hilda. Our Rascal checked off King Kenny approaching the home turn. Hasten Hilda and Miss Bazaar collided approaching the winning post.
Patty Pie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
Hasten Hilda underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Shane Wetzels regarding the racing manners of Hasten Hilda in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Wetzels, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Oriental Onyx - the winner of the event.
