Steward's Report
All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of boxing, starting, and catching greyhounds.
Lemon – Late scratching at 11.23am when Mr. M. Cortese reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Silver Jett – New declared weight of 30.1 kg, last raced at 31.7 kg.
Diva's Secret and Mystical Zendik were quick to begin. Fernando Dusty and Reality Crowns were slow to begin.
Burgin Baby and Car Dealer collided soon after the start, Burgin Baby contacted the running rail as a result. Silver Jett checked off Burgin Baby approaching the first turn. Fernando Dusty and Silver Jett collided approaching the first turn. Mystical Zendik raced wide on the home turn.
Burgin Baby underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder spike wound and lacertion. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Car Dealer - winner of the event.
