A pre-race sample was taken from Overflow Lisa.
Bees And Honey was slow to begin.
Arby's Roger, Bees And Honey, It's My Party and Upright collided on the first turn; checking It's My Party and Upright. It's My Party brushed the running rail on the first turn. Overflow Lisa and Arby's Roger collided approaching the third turn, checking Arby's Roger. Arby's Roger and Bees And Honey collided in the back straight, checking Bees And Honey. Aston Vogue marred Major Giblet in the home straight.
Aston Vogue underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg triangle injury. A five day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Brendan Pursell, the trainer of Aston Vogue regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Aston Vogue was charged with marring. Mr Pursell pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Vogue was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
