Trainer Mrs Darlene McIntyre mistakenly withdrew Ivy's Bobby on behalf of Trainer Mr John McIntyre from race 9, instead of Exford Norm in Race 4 at Geelong, which was injured and subsequently withdrawn from today's meeting at Geelong. Ivy's Bobby was not meant to be withdrawn by Mrs McIntyre and was fit to race. The Stewards issued a charge to Mrs McIntyre under GAR 86 (o) for mistakenly withdrawing Ivy's Bobby from this race, which was considered by the Stewards to be negligent. Mrs McIntyre pleaded guilty to the charge and was issued a fine of $250, that was wholly suspended for 12 months, pending no further negligence or scratching type offences in this time. Ivy's Bobby was not issued a stand-down penalty and is free to be nominated for racing.
