A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Carey.
The start of this event was delayed by approximately 10 minutes to allow track staff to rectify a technical issue with the track lighting. As a result the start time was amended from 9.42pm to 9.52pm.
Mid Point checked off Sydney Showgirl on the first turn. Cocktail and Kraken Freckles collided entering the home straight.
