Steward's Report
Miss Martina, Slingshot Reaper and Trickity Click collided soon after the start. Murt Law and Hazey Roy collided approaching the 200m mark. Coolant and Slingshot Reaper collided at the 200m mark. Paddy's Marvel visibly eased and turned its head to the outside at the 150m mark and collided with Slingshot Reaper checking Coolant and Paddy's Marvel. Paddy's Marvel and Trickity Click collided at the 50m mark.
Paddy's Marvel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury and a right chest injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Mark Morrissey regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Paddy's Marvel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Morrissey pleaded guilty to the charge, Paddy's Marvel was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Slingshot Reaper underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have left hind split webbing. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Miss Martina - the winner of the event.
