Steward's Report
Not Guilty – Late scratching at 8.43am when Ms. Suzanne Reaper reported the greyhound to have kennel cough (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A sample was taken from Delta Storm upon arrival at the course.
Pre-race samples were taken from Bella Dreamtime, Wonders Magic and Blazing Sal.
Boes Bounty, Delta Storm, Bella Dreamtime and Wonders Magic collided soon after the start checking Wonders Magic. Boes Bounty and Delta Storm crossed out at the 150m mark. Bella Dreamtime turned its head to the inside at the 50m mark and collided several times with Delta Storm to the winning post.
Bella Dreamtime underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 12. Bella Dreamtime was found to have right wrist sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Richard Anchen regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Bella Dreamtime was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Anchen pleaded guilty to the charge, Bella Dreamtime was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Mr. Neat - the winner of the event.
