Steward's Report
The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Affair Bit with trainer Mr Martin Hanke and noted his comments.
Hill Top Jonah shifted out at the 150m mark. Hello George checked off Hill Top Jonah at the 100m mark. Stirling Lights checked off Hill Top Jonah at the 50 mark. Money Owes crossed out and marred Hill Top Jonah approaching the winning post.
Affair Bit underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Money Owes underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Gregory Berry regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Money Owes was charged with marring. Mr. Berry pleaded guilty to the charge, Money Owes was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Hill Top Jonah - the winner of the event.
