Steward's Report
All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 28.7 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.0 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Kennel Attendant, Ms L.Barnes did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
A pre race sample was taken from Chasing The Edge.
Chasing The Edge and Cool Whip were slow to begin. Easy Breezy, Market Bella and Cam's Girl collided soon after the start checking Market Bella. Market Bella and Cool Whip collided on the first turn checking Market Bella. Clase Azul and Divine Calling collided approaching the home turn checking Divine Calling. Divine Calling, Inky's Fireball and Cam's Girl collided on the home turn.
Market Bella underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right fore shin soreness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
