All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 32.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.8 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Due to a technical malfunction split times for all races at today's meeting were hand-timed.

Surprise Packet, Lektra Sarah, Jaleesa Bale and Myola Red Boy were quick to begin.  War Time Novelty and Primed were slow to begin.

Cadillac Boy underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Miracle Belle was quick to begin.

Awesome Value underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a left hindleg split webbing injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Irene's A Star and Butternut were quick to begin.

Mahomes and Butternut collided on the first turn, checking Butternut; causing Butternut and Trivet to collide, checking Butternut.  Sugar Shane and Trivet collided on the home turn.  Westar Storm raced wide on the home turn.

Butternut underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Ferocious Caitty was slow to begin.

Abby's Comet and Made Me Blind collided soon after the start.  Made Me Blind and Ferocious Caitty collided on the first turn.  Made Me Blind raced wide on the home turn.  Abby's Comet and Alabama Anna collided in the home straight, checking Alabama Anna.

It was noted that the muzzle of Abby's Comet became dislodged during the running of the event.
