Sunstruck and Rock On Jimmy were slow to begin.
Kraken Pearler and Zambora Alani collided on the first turn. Sunstruck and Rock On Jimmy collided on the third turn. Sunstruck and Zambora Alani collided entering the home straight. Sunstruck, Kraken Pearler and Zambora Alani collided in the home straight checking all three greyhounds. Kraken Pearler lost ground over the final stages of the race.
Kraken Pearler underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
