Agent Herrera was slow to begin.
Chic and Orange Man Bad collided approaching the first turn. Alinta's Gift and Hint Of Mint collided on the first turn checking ALinta's Gift. Kiarni Connor and Chic collided approaching the home turn checking Kiarni Connor. Agent Herrera raced wide on the home turn. Orange Man Bad and Hint of Mint collided on the home turn. Chic and Hint Of Mint collided in the home straight. Hint Of Mint marred Chic in the home straight.
Hint Of Mint underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle and left quadriceps. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Robert Douglas, the trainer of Hint Of Mint regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Hint Of Mint was charged with marring. Mr. Douglas pleaded guilty to the charge, Hint Of Mint was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
