Steward's Report
Aston Komuni was quick to begin.
Lot Of Poise clipped the heels of Diversify approaching the first turn checking Lot Of Poise. Lot Of Poise raced wide from the home turn to the winning post. Extreme turned its head to the inside in the home straight and marred Lucky Molly. Lucky Molly and Red Spur Flyer collided several times in the home straight.
Extreme Force underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Aaron Debattista, the trainer of Extreme Force regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Extreme Force was charged with marring. Mr Debattista pleaded guilty to the charge, Extreme Force was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Back Pat underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainers request and was found to have a spike wound on the left hind paw. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Mayhem Flash underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainers request and was found to have split webbing on the left fore paw. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Diversify underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Aston Kumuni - the winner of the event.
