Whistle Bay and Contrived collided several times from soon after the start to the 250m mark checking both greyhounds.  Ritzy Zambora crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark and checked off Teofimo.  Ritzy Zambora lost ground at the 100m mark.

Ritzy Zambora underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right pencil injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr Adam Norris, the trainer of Ritzy Zambora regarding the greyhounds performance.  In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr Norris to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Ritzy Zambora in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.

A post-race sample was taken from Kraken Alby - the winner of the event.

Man In Blue - Late scratching at 10:45am due to the greyhound not being presented (non–arrival) (GAR 31).  Due to the circumstances surrounding the non-presentation trainer, Mr D. Bourke was fined $250.

Shake The World underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Plumb underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request due to an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a right deltoid injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

My Mate Lucas was slow to begin.

Stewards noted the weight recorded for Frankie Fever for the Satisfactory Trial it completed on 21 September 2021 was incorrectly recorded as 37.2kgs; the correct weight was 34.0kgs.  Frankie Fever today recorded a weight of 34.2kgs.

Meeting Comments:

Stewards spoke to Ms K. Rademaker after she accepted multiple catching engagements which she was unable to fulfil at today's meeting.  After hearing evidence before them, Stewards issued Ms. Rademaker with a warning pursuant to GAR 86(o) with negligence for accepting too many catches.
