Steward's Report
Oakvale Cruiser – Late scratching at 10:33am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to right front nail injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Fast Fever was quick to begin.
Half A Double and Don't Know Jake were slow to begin.
Warm Beer turned its head to the inside and visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Warm Beer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the hind paws. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr David Phillips, the Trainer of Warm Beer regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Warm Beer was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Phillips pleaded guilty to the charge, Warm Beer was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127(b) and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
