Essential persons (both staff and participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore face masks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Chatterbox Tilly – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Sale on 8 August 2021.  Chatterbox Tilly was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury.  Chatterbox Tilly was Cleard to race.  

Very Odd and Empress Blaze were slow to begin.

Barnaby Blitz and Crowdza Blest collided soon after the start.  Very Odd and Empress Blaze collided soon after the start checking Very Odd.  Crowdza Blest and Valak collided several times approaching the first turn.  Valak, Crowdza Blest and Barnaby Blitz collided on the first turn checking Barnaby Blitz and severely checking Crowdza Blest.  Very Odd and Empress Blaze collided on the third turn checking Empress Blaze.  Empress Blaze tied over the concluding stages.

Empress Blaze underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Fernando Febey was quick to begin.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Lemon, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Raw Finesse – Late scratching at 6.21pm due to non–arrival (GAR 31).  Mrs Coral Jackson informed Stewards that she was held up due to a trafiic incident on–route to the track and would not make kennelling closing time. Stewards confirmed the traffic incident and no stand down penalty was imposed.

Zipping Chuck was slow to begin.

Balts Agenda, Smokin' Charlie and Reality Pest collided approaching the first turn checking Smokin' Charlie and Reality Pest.  System Glitch and I'm Ace Osti collided entering the home straight checking Balts Agenda and severely checking I'm Ace Osti.  

Dr. Lexie – Late scratching at 1.17pm when Ms Kimberley McMahon reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.  Stewards spoke to Mrs Jennifer Gill the representative of Dr. Lexie regarding the late scratching and accepted Mrs. Gill explanation.

Just A Minute was quick to begin.  Dr. Macie was slow to begin.

Dashing Dante was quick to begin.

Locked And Ready, Stirling Lights and Dashing Dante collided soon after the start.  Superior Jessica, Greysynd Spectre and Locked And Ready collided approaching the first turn.  Locked And Ready checked off Aston Dimple approaching the first turn.  Dashing Dante checked off Stirling Lights on the home turn.  Greysynd Spectre and Locked And Ready collided on the home turn checking Locked And Ready.  

Dashing Dante underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a lacertion to the left hind foot  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Dr. Knuckles - winner of the event.  

Flying Hurricane was quick to begin.  Dr. Rozzie was slow to begin.

Thylacine and Reggae Mikado collided approaching the first turn.  Ethan's Fury, Thylacine and Dr. Rozzie collided approaching the first turn.  Aston Resort and So Hazy collided on the first turn.  Aston Resort checked off Thylacine on the first turn.  Thylacine and Dr. Rozzie collided approaching the third turn.  So Hazy and Thylacine collided on the third turn.  

Inuka was quick to begin.  On Time Cash was slow to begin.

Dr. Luna and Bernadette collided approaching the first turn.  Bean's Multi galloped on Dr. Luna checking Dr. Luna, Bean's Multi and On Time Cash approaching the first turn.  Bernadette and Aston Dynasty collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.

Pandora's Star and Cool Stone collided on the first turn.  Big Lug galloped on Pandora's Star on the home turn severely checking Pandora's Star which fell as a result.  Dundee Idol and Judith collided on the home turn checking Judith, Aston Solar and Devon Lass. 

Pandora's Star underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury and abrasions to the left fibula and left pencil.  A 5 day stand own period was imposed. 

Miss Demonica was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Black Phoenix and Dr. Collette collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Two Face, Baby Pechey and Miss Demonica collided approaching the first turn.  Lewis Osti, Two Face, Baby Pechey and Bell Park Dragon collided on the first turn checking Baby Pechey, Miss Demonica and Dr. Collette, causing Miss Demonica to race wide.  Baby Pechey raced wide entering the home straight.
