Steward's Report
Banjo Bobby and Bejarano were slow to begin.
Banjo Bobby and Bejarano collided approaching the first turn, checking Banjo Bobby. Armstrong Bobby, Magic Voyage, Sad But True, Orya Bale, Ashby Mayhem and Impending collided on the first turn; checking Armstrong Bobby, Magic Voyage, Orya Bale and Ashby Mayhem. Armstrong Bobby and Orya Bale collided in the back straight; checking Armstrong Bobby, Orya Bale and Ashby Mayhem; causing Armstrong Bobby to contact the running rail and lose ground. Banjo Bobby stumbled and raced wide approaching the second turn.
Armstrong Bobby underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Banjo Bobby underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race eight, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Phillip Pollutro reagrding the greyhound's performance approaching the second turn. In accordance with GAR 75 (1), Stewards requested Mr Pollutro to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Banjo Bobby in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
A post-race sample was taken from Impending - the winner of the event.
