All staff & participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

The track was inspected again at the end of kenneling and deemed suitable for racing.

Bobby Bull Shark, Mepunga Legend and Weblec Mist were slow to begin.

Siren Head and Mickey Blue Eyes collided several times approaching the first turn. Flame Child checked off Mepunga Grace approaching the first turn, checking Bobby Bull Shark, Mepunga Legend and Weblec Mist. Siren Head checked off Adele's Entity on the first turn, checking Mickey Blue Eyes, Bobby Bull Shark and Flame Child.

Persuasive - Trainer change to Mr Chris Darmanin on Wednesday 9h June, some publications displaying previous trainer. A pre-race sample was taken from the greyhound.

Swift Ability and Mepunga Gem were quick to begin. Persuasive and Major Bandit were slow to begin.

Swift Ability and Mepunga Gem collided soon after the start, checking Mepunga Gem. Weblec Raider and War Of Words collided approaching the first turn. Persuasive checked off Press On on the first turn. Weblec Flame checked off Major Bandit in the home straight. Swift Ability marred Major Bandit in the home straight. 

Swift Ability underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. A. Azzopardi regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Swift Ability was charged with marring. Mr. A. Azzopardi pleaded guilty to the charge, Swift Ability was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Roxy Quaker was slow to begin.

Royal Deed, Mepunga Holly and Whakahoro collided soon after the start, checking Mepunga Holly. Jump Into Action, Ice Ghost and Whakahoro collided approaching the first turn. Whakahoro, Rothwell Prince and Untapped collided on the first turn, checking Rothwell Prince. Ice Ghost, Jump Into Action and Whakahoro collided on the first turn, checking Ice Ghost. Whakahoro and Untapped collided entering the back straight. Whakahoro and Untapped collided on the third turn.

Whatever I Say and Fairytale Wish were quick to begin. My Father's Son was slow to begin.

Tyler Durden and It's My Party collided on the second turn. It's My Party checked off Tyler Durden in the back straight. My Father's Son, Tyler Durden and Fairytale Wish collided on the third turn, checking Tyler Durden. Tyler Durden raced wide entering the home straight. 

Tyler Durden underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Masked Avenger was quick to begin.

Alfie Alligator and Krakatoan collided soon after the start. Alfie Alligator and Merry Lass collided on the first turn. Masked Avenger and Coolant raced wide on the home turn. Snapper Smith checked off Krakatoan on the home turn.

Hoffa was slow to begin.

Braemar Prince and Two Face collided soon after the start, checking Two Face. Angus Rhode, Braemar Prince and All Over Max collided approaching the first turn, checking Hoffa and Angus Rhode, severely checking Braemar Prince. All Over Max and Bulleteer collided approaching the home turn. Two Face checked off All Over Max in the home straight. 

Braemar Prince underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Hoffa – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52. 

Post-race samples were taken from Shima Classic (1st) and Run And Carry (2nd).

Lala Kiwi – New declared weight of 32.0kg, last raced at 33.1kg. 

Brother Bearing and Keep It Blue were slow to begin.

Black Avenger and Indy Matilda collided soon after the start. Gypsy Wyong and Ultimate Avenger collided soon after the start, checking Gypsy Wyong. Black Avenger and Ultimate Avenger collided on the first turn and again on the home turn, causing Ultimate Avenger to race wide.

Galway Grange – Late scratching at 2:50pm when trainer Ms.D.Vigor reported the greyhound to have hind leg abrasions (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Shima Shine was slow to begin.

Cornhill Tiger checked off Robin's Choice approaching the first turn. Instruction and Gypsy Yankee collided on the first turn. Robin's Choice checked off Instruction on the first turn. Instruction and Shima Shine collided approaching the home turn.

Orson Emmy was slow to begin.

Aston Mirage, East Street and Accomplishment collided soon after the start, checking East Street and Accomplishment. Mepunga Gertie and Aston Mirage collided approaching the first turn. Orson Emmy checked off East Street approaching the first turn. Irene's A Star and Mepunga Gertie collided on the first turn. Irene's A Star checked off Sweet Petit on the first turn. Fugacious and Accomplishment collided approaching the home turn. Accomplishment and Aston Mirage collided on the home turn.

Two Up Tommy was quick to begin. 

Destructive Riot, Go Twenty Two, Settled and Brilliant Brian collided soon after the start, checking Go Twenty Two and Settled. Destructive Riot, Brilliant Brian and Shivers collided soon after the start. Destructive Riot, Brilliant Brian and Shivers collided approaching the first turn, checking Brilliant Brian and Shivers.

Bitter Dash checked off Grey Not Blue approaching the first turn. Bitter Dash faltered approaching the first turn. Lavish Pearl and Trout collided approaching the first turn, causing Trout, Euchre John, Kayleeda and Grey Not Blue to collide, checking Kayleeda and Grey Not Blue. Bitter Dash commenced to lose ground approaching the home turn.

Bitter Dash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 12, BItter Dash was found to have a right triangle muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. D. Bicchieri regarding its performance in the event. After taking evidence from Mr Bicchieri, viewing all the available race footage, acting on their observations and considering the veterinary report, Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Bitter Dash must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Max Tractor was slow to begin.
