Lala Hibicus and Alpine Blaze were slow to begin.

Call Me Chloe crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Drako Bale and Call Me Snooze.  Drako Bale, Lala Hibiscus and Call Me Snooze collided on the first turn checking Alpine Blaze, and Lala Hibiscus causing: Lala Hibiscus to fall and Call Me Snooze to falter and fail to finish. Moraine Izzy checked off Drako Bale on the third turn.

Call Me Snooze underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left femur fracture. Call Me Snooze was humanely euthanased.
