Steward's Report
Hooksy, Cornelius Fudge and Walk Hard were slow to begin. Hooksy and Walk Hard collided approaching the first turn. Kiss Me Ketut, Dyna Ishaan and Tonk collided on the first turn checking Kiss Me Ketut and Dyna Ishaan and severely checking Hooksy, Tink and Ozzie Bullet; Tonk and Ozzie Bullet fell as a result. Cornelius Fudge and Walk Hard collided entering the back straight.
Tonk was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's left wrist and a spike wound to it's right hind leg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Hooksy was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's right monkey muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. M. Auld, the representative of the greyhound Hooksy regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the back straight.
Ozzie Bullet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's right front sesamoid and abrasions to it's left and right metacarpals. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Samples were taken from the first three placegetters in this event - Musquin Bale (1st), Cornelius Fudge (2nd) and Walk Hard (3rd).
