Steward's Report
All Staff & Participants attending the race-meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the Kennel Block and Associated Buildings and when engaged in the exclusive race-day functions of handling, boxing, starting & catching greyhounds.
A sample was taken from Burn Bella Burn upon arrival at the course
Rag Time Joey - Late scratching at 10.56am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a papilloma on the left hind paw. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Braemar Wallace, Shining Ellie and Electric Zulu collided soon after the start checking Electric Zulu. Blazin' Cool and Red Nangana collided soon after the start. Blazin' Cool galloped on Red Nangana at the 300m mark. Blazin' Cool, Red Nangana and Braemar Wallace collided at the 300m mark checking Tralee Riot who stumbled as a result. Blazin' Cool galloped on Burn Bella Burn at the 250m mark checking Burn Bella Burn. Tralee Riot and Burn Bella Burn collided at the 250m mark. Tralee Riot checked off Red Nangana at the 100m mark.
Stewards spoke to Ms Yvonne Cassidy regarding the racing manners of Braemar Wallace soon after the start. After hearing evidence from Ms Cassidy, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start.
