A sample was taken from Aston Respect upon arrival at the course.
Oh Mary, King Brown and Nicko In Paris were quick to begin.
Berringa Blue and Aston Respect were slow to begin.
Nicko In Paris and Beach Master collided approaching the first turn. Resurrection checked off Beach Master approaching the first turn. Nicko In Paris, Beach Master, Crackerjack Dirt and Resurrection collided on the first turn checking all 4 greyhounds. Beach Master and Berringa Blue collided approaching the home turn. Aston Respect faltered approaching the home turn and tailed off as a result.
Aston Respect underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
