The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Awesome Asset with Mr. John Mangion and noted his comments.
Awesome Asset and McIvor Stretch collided approaching the home turn checking Awesome Asset. Pete Cabang and McIvor Stretch raced wide entering the home straight and again in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Sarcasmic - winner of the event.
Awesome Asset underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
