The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Hot Weather Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 29.9 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.6 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Fab Rocket, Our Boy Benny and Zoom Fly Three were slow to begin.

Fab Rocket checked off Blue Cascade on the first turn.  Haitham Bale, Hurricane Sue and Blue Cascade collided on the first turn checking Haitham Bale and Blue Cascade.  Zoom Fly Three and Big Tango collided on the first turn checking Big Tango.

Bomber's Train and Hurricane Star were slow to begin.

Malizia, Bomber's Train and Hurricane Star collided soon after the start checking Bomber's Train.  Malizia and Hurricane Star collided on the first turn checking Hurricane Star.  Hurricane Miami eased approaching the home turn causing Hurricane Miami and Orya Bale to race wide checking Orya Bale.  

Hurricane Miami underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Joseph Sultana the representative of Hurricane Miami regarding its racing manners approaching the home turn.  After viewing all available video footage, Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71 Hurricane Miami must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hurricane Star underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Joseph Sultana the representative of Hurricane Star regarding its performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71 Hurricane Star must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hurricane Miss and Elude were quick to begin.

Mighty Tuscany, Bomber's Cruiser and Collinda Dodge collided on the first turn checking Collinda Dodge, Peregrine Speed and severely checking Mighty Tuscany.

Hurricane Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Hurricane Miss with trainer Mr Joseph Sultana and noted their comments.

Bomber's Queen was quick to begin.

Diamond Cartel – Late scratching at 3.06pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to abraded paw pads.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Princess America underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind foot.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Betty's Dream and Hubcap Thief were quick to begin.  Devon Shadow was slow to begin.

Devon Shadow underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
