Reggae Mikado and Freya The Slayer were slow to begin.
Church Mouse and Harden Up Tommy collided soon after the start checking Harden Up Tommy and Reggae Mikado. Reggae Mikado and Freya The Slayer collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Church Mouse and Harden Up Tommy collided on the first turn. Weeona Roger, Patriot Tubman and Harden Up Tommy collided on the first turn checking Harden Up Tommy, Cool Bourbski, Graceful Light and Reggae Mikado, Graceful Light and Reggae Mikado raced wide as a result. Patriot Tubman clipped the heels of Weeona Roger on the third turn and stumbled. Patriot Tubman and Church Mouse collided approaching the home turn checking Church Mouse. Harden Up Tommy and Graceful Light collided several times from approaching the home turn to entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.
