Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from South East Queen.
Vanilla Sky was slow to begin. Monument Valley was very slow to begin - 2 lengths.
High Beam checked off Awake Until Dawn soon after the start. Travel Easy checked off South East Queen soon after the start causing Travel Easy to fall. South East Queen checked off Defiance approaching the first turn. Aston Master and Awake Until Dawn collided on the first turn checking Vanilla Sky. Monument Valley checked off High Beam entering the home straight. Vanilla Sky checked off High Beam in the home straight. High Beam checked off Monument Valley in the home straight.
Travel Easy underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a suspected spinal fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Daniel Gibbons, the Trainer of Aston Master as some noticeable betting fluctuations were noted by Stewards. The comments of Mr Gibbons were noted and a sample was taken for analysis. Referred to GRV betting analyst.
