Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Meehan Ziggy was quick to begin. Dancing Molly turned its head outwards and collided with Pretty Fly soon after the start checking Pretty Fly. Dancing Molly and All Inn Maggie collided approaching the first turn. Dancing Molly and Rhapsody Queen collided approaching the first turn. Impress Venus and All Inn Maggie collided on the first turn. Return Serve and Twilight Psycho collided on the first turn. Dancing Molly and Rhapsody Queen collided on the first turn checking Rhapsody Queen. Impress Venus, Twilight Psycho and Return Serve collided on the home turn. Return Serve and Pretty Fly collided in the home straight.

Dancing Molly underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 3, and was found to have an abrasion to the left hidleg, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Patrick O'Kane regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Dancing Molly was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr O'Kane pleaded guilty to the charge, Dancing Molly was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hook In Quinn - Late scratching at 8.39am when Mrs Emma Bowles reported the greyhound to have a hock injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20 (3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Enzo's Girl was slow to begin. Kirby's Delight, Hill Top and My Name's Fergie collided approaching the first turn checking Kirby's Delight. My Name's Fergie and Hill Top collided on the first turn severely checking Hill Top.

A pre-race sample was taken from Soda Prince.

Two Stone Light and College Boy collided soon after the start. Bongino and Galaxy Icon collided approaching the first turn checking Bongino which fell. Soda Prince, Galaxy Icon and Laughed A Lot collided approaching the first turn. Laughed A Lot and Two Stone Light collided entering the home straight. College Boy and Galaxy Icon collided in the home straight.

Bongino underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right thigh and right quadriceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Millennium Star and No Payer collided approaching the first turn checking Millennium Star. What's The Code and No Payer collided on the first turn. No Payer and Resurrection collided approaching the home turn checking No Payer. Millennium Star raced wide in the home straight.

Crackerjack Nev was slow to begin. Marcus Will, Any Luck and Twilight Connie collided approaching the first turn. Exclusively Mine, Marcus Will and Seven Enemies collided approaching the first turn checking Seven Enemies. Exclusively Mine and Marcus Will collided on the first turn checking Exclusively Mine which collided with Seven Enemies. Exclusively Mine raced wide in the home straight.

Harlequin Rose, Zambora Lion and Akoya collided approaching the first turn checking Akoya. Harlequin Rose and Akoya collided on the first turn. Harlequin Rose and Winlock Newbolt collided on the first turn checking Harlequin Rose. Akoya and Harlequin Rose collided approaching the home turn checking Akoya. Rhino Rex raced wide on the home turn and again entering the home straight and collided with Akoya checking both greyhounds. Zambora Lion and All Inn Ava collided in the home straight.

Sandy's My Name - Late scratching at 6.31pm under GAR 37(4) on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to be infested with fleas.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Kinloch Journey with handler, Mr Josh Formosa and noted his comments.
