Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Chasing Opal was slow to begin.

Sand Dance and Kuta Cowboy collided soon after the start. Chasing Opal checked off Sand Dance approaching the 200m mark. Zero Connection and Witchie's Gas collided approaching the winning post.

Sand Dance underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left deltoid and the left wrist. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Spot On Mick and Boes High Five were slow to begin.

Boes High Five crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark checking Blue Cascade. Spot On Mick crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark. Lucky Yap checked off Addie Attitude at the 200m mark and crossed in. Spot On Mick and Blue Cascade collided at the 100m mark.

Front Bar was slow to begin.

Marley's Rage and Come On Levendi collided at the 250m mark. Come On Levendi and Motor Ace collided several times from approaching the 200m mark to the 200m mark checking Come On Levendi, Motor Ace and Marley's Rage. Marley's Rage checked off Motor Ace approaching the 100m mark checking Come On Levendi. Front Bar checked off Motor Ace at the 50m mark.

Springvale Misty checked off Early Special at the 250m mark. Courtney Lee and Early Special collided at the 200m mark and again at the 100m mark. Barellen Rocket and Springvale Misty collided several times from the 50m mark to the winning post.

Chill Out Dusty – Late scratching at 10:21am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an abscess.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Silky Rose was quick to begin. Aston Logan and Mad McEnroe were slow to begin.

Aston Logan crossed out soon after the start and raced wide for the remainder of the event. Silky Rose checked off Scorching Ember approaching the 150m mark.
