Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from All Inn Jasper, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to technical issues with the roll on starting boxes.

Landish Boy was quick to begin. All Inn Jasper was slow to begin. Baccala was very slow to begin - 3 lengths.

She's Serious and Blazing Kansas collided on the first turn checking Miss Marley, She's Serious and Blazing Kansas. Kraken Swift and Blazing Kansas collided on the home turn. Kraken Swift pulled up entering the home straight and failed to finish.

Kraken Swift underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left back muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr K. Eyles, regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Kraken Swift was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Eyles pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Swift must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Viking Clap and Macey's Star collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Lunaray, Secret Chimp, Hazy Rose, Blast Zone and All Inn Abby collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds and causing Lunaray to fall as a result. Secret Chimp and All Inn Abby collided entering the home straight. Hazy Rose raced wide entering the home straight.

Lunaray underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right shoulder, an abrasion to the left hind leg and an oral laceration. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Fletcher Jay.

Lance Link, Fletcher Jay, Posterior Chain and Aston Verve collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. All Inn Christy and Kraken Lightning collided in the home straight.

Weeona Bulldozer and Charlie Checker collided on the first turn and again on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Hartland Digger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right hip mucle and an abrasion on the left hind leg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Fab Creates contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. Short Leash checked off Market Legend on the first turn. Wired and Clovally Mansumi collided on the first turn. Wired and Market Legend collided entering the home straight. Brother Griff and Market Legend collided several times in the home straight and again approaching the winning post checking Akoya.

Fab Creates underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a thoraco lumbar injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Market Legend underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left monkey muscle and shin soreness on the right hindleg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Kernel Panic - Late scratching at 10.45pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a ruptured toe ligament on the left forleg. A10 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Spud.

Gallant Toby went up with the lids and was slow to begin. Zipping Spud faltered approaching the home turn and tailed off. Nalani and Mystic Rose collided on the first turn. Table Top and Gallant Toby collided approaching the home turn. Kraken Maxi and Table Top collided on the home turn.

Zipping Spud underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured left hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
