Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Emerald Galore and Knight Caller were slow to begin.

Electric Dreams crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Night To Burn.  Big Leigh and Shamrock Mist collided soon after the start.  Gaudi Chaudi, Natural Ivy and Electric Dreams collided on the first turn checking Natural Ivy and Electric Dreams.  Big Leigh and Emerald Galore collided on the first turn.  Shamrock Mist contacted the running rail several times on the first turn checking Knight Caller, severely checking Shamrock Mist and Emerald Galore causing both greyhounds to stumble.  Night To Burn shifted out in the home straight and collided with Electric Dreams, checking Electric Dreams.

Shamrock Mist underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Emerald Galore underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Electric Dreams underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards reviewed a racing incident in the home straight involving Night To Burn and Electric Dreams. After reviewing the head on patrol footage, stewards were satisfied that Night To Burn shifted out in the home straight, causing it to collide with Electric Dreams, causing it to be checked. Stewards took no further action against Electric Dreams.

Crypto Geek was quick to begin.  Saint Ellie, Last Dance, Forty Free Beans and Zipping Reuben were slow to begin.

Crypto Geek checked off Rona Express approaching the first turn and collided with Jaggered, causing Crypto Geek to lose ground.  Crypto Geek and Forty Free Beans collided on the first turn.  Jaggered and Last Dance collided approaching the home turn.  Saint Ellie checked off Crypto Geek in the home straight.  Forty Free Beans and Rona Express collided in the home straight.

Crypto Geek underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Gripen was quick to begin.  There's A Catch, Steorra and Gettysburg were slow to begin.

Aston Gripen and Kalter collided approaching the winning post.  Gettysburg and Double Glaze collided approaching the winning post.

Fashion Icon was quick to begin.  Thing Big Harry and Lara Diamond were slow to begin.

Cudgee's Jayne and Just Cruising collided approaching the first turn.  Katathani Kid checked off Choir Magic on the first turn severely checking Think Big Harry, Cudgee's Jayne and Deadly Walk which stumble and causing Katathani Kid to fall.  Cudgee's Jayne and Deadly Walk approaching the home turn.  

Think Big Harry underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  

Cudgee's Jayne underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind toe and thumps. No stand down period was imposed. 

Deadly Walk underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent unjury was reported. 

Katathani Kid underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Just Fernando was slow to begin.

Monster Harley, Taltarni Black and Just Fernando collided on the first turn checking Taltarni Black, Just Fernando and Moyarra Whiz.  Just Fernando and Moyarra Whiz collided on the home turn.  

Just Fernando underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured left hind toe.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Mighty Marshall and Plumber collided on the first turn.  United Lass checked off Dirty Max in the home straight.  

Major Giblet was slow to begin.

Major Giblet checked off Barefoot Barry approaching the first turn.  Dark Arrow checked off Barefoot Barry on the first turn checking Major Giblet.  Joking Bear checked off High Fusion on the first turn checking Barefoot Barry, Flo Lava and severely checking Dark Arrow and Major Giblet.  Flo Lava raced wide in the straight.

Dyna Aakil and Charlie Checker collided soon after the start.  Two Up Thommo and Brylee collided on the first turn checking Two Up Thommo.  Close Enough, Bound To Succeed and Fly High Billy collided on the first turn.  Two Up Thommo raced wide approaching the home turn severely checking Dyna Aakil.  Close Enough crossed out entering the home straight checking Bound To Succeed.  Close Enough and Bound To Succeed collided several times in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Fly High Billy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left dew claw injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Miss Zeus was slow to begin.

Fab Nine, I'm Poppy, Shift Change and Miss Zeus collided on the first turn checking Fab Nine.  Skibo Rebel checked off Fugacious on the first turn checking Cracked Soda.  I'm Poppy galloped on Cracked Soda approaching the home turn.  Shift Change checked off Miss Zeus on the home turn and raced wide. 

Chiquita Lass was slow to begin. Annie My Mate went up with the lids and was slow to begin.

Charmed checked off Not All Over on the first turn checking Numinous and severely checking Tango Icon.  Dee Nine and Tango Icon collided approaching the home turn.  Charmed crossed out on the home turn checking Numinous.  Dee Nine and Tango Icon collided several times on the home turn and in the home straight.  Not All Over lost ground approaching the winning post.

Following the event  Not All Over collapsed in the catching pen.  A veterinary examination found the greyhound to have exercise induced ataxia (PEDS). No stand down penalty was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 74 Not All Over must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) and receive a veterinary clearance before any future nomination will be accepted.

Wonder Riri, Julana and Favour were slow to begin.

Moraine Nicky and Have A Roadie collided soon after the start.  Valhalla Girl, Julana and Wonder Riri collided on the first turn severely checking Have A Roadie and Valhalla Girl.  Moraine Nicky crossed out approaching the home turn.  Wonder Riri and Dynamite Miss collided entering the home straight.  

Mr Steven Van Oirschot requested that Valhalla Girl undergo a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wounds to both hind legs. No stand down period was imposed.

Banjo Bliss was slow to begin.

Nitro Roxy, Eaglehawk Miss, Jabba Bolt and Brazen Crow collided approaching the first turn checking Jabba Bolt and Brazen Crow.  Banjo Bliss, Pine's Pick and Brazen Crow collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Nitro Roxy checked off Pyrenees Spirit approaching the home turn.  Jabba Bolt checked off Nitro Roxy in the home straight.
