Negasi Bale - Late scratching at 9.44am when Ms. A Daily reported the greyhound to have leg injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) lure driver, Mr Chris Chilcott did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.

Following a fall after the winning post Tinker Ray was pronounced deceased by the On-Track Veterinarian. The greyhound was found to have a suspected laceration to the left carotid artery from a jaw/skull fracture.

Polly's Yohanna, El Cazador and Aston Adonis collided on the first turn checking Aston Adonis. Brady's Shout and Zipping Ticket collided entering the home straight. Brady's Shout turned its head outwards and marred Zipping Ticket approaching the winning post.

Brady's Shout underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the left front paw and left hind paw. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Bartlett, the trainer of Brady's Shout regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Brady's Shout was charged with marring. Mr Bartlett pleaded guilty to the charge, Brady's Shout was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Byron Bale was quick to begin.
