Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Double On Ice.
Double On Ice went up with the lids at boxrise and was slow to begin. Danica Spolly was slow to begin. Danica Spolly galloped on Crown Suzie approaching the first turn. Double On Ice and Danica Spolly collided on the first turn. Crown Suzie and Bully Bar collided approaching the home turn. Crown Suzie visibly eased and pulled up on the home turn and collided with Double On Ice checking Double On Ice. Keira Spolly and Chilly Slater collided several times in the home straight.
Crown Suzie underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr. Harris, representative, declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Luke Harris, the representative of Crown Suzie regarding th greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1), Crown Suzie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Harris pleaded guilty to the charge, Crown Suzie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
