Mr T. Whitford failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Super Switch for racing, after being engaged to handle the greyhound. A fine of $100 was issued pursuant to GAR 46(2).

Aston Kenji was slow to begin. Super Switch and Further Dreamer collided soon after the start. Aston Kenji checked off Sarah Smirnoff at the 150m mark.

Max Mccartin was slow to begin. Lea Arandt went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Max Mccartin checked off Grumpy Al soon after the start. Key Effort checked off Max Mccartin approaching the 250m mark. Key Effort marred Idaho approaching the winning post.

Key Effort underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing on to the right fore paw. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Jordan Formosa regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Key Effort was charged with marring. Mr Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Key Effort was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted
