Nathan Ryder and Hypo Harry were quick to begin.  Nathan Ryder checked off Hypo Harry approaching the first turn.  Nathan Ryder and Little Boy Blue collided on the first turn checking Little Boy Blue.  Little Boy Blue raced wide from the home turn to the winning post.

Dragon's Kiss and Gold Skulltula were quick to begin.  Star Burner was slow to begin. Sorell and Dragon's Kiss collided on the first turn severely checking Dragon's Kiss. Bowler's Name clipped the heels of Gold Skulltula on the first turn.  Sorell and Little Kevin collided on the first turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr Corey Fulford, the trainer of Financial Tarra regarding its improved performance in this event. Mr Fulford stated that the greyhound has recently returned to his kennel after racing interstate and has previously shown good form at this track and distance. Mr Fulford further stated that he had expected Financial Tarra to be competitive in tonight's event and had run up to his expectations.  A sample was taken from the greyhound.

Antique Ali and Madalia Brodie were slow to begin. Perfect Product, Miss Somerton and On The Duck collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Somerton. Miss Somerton, Babel and Roulette collided on the first turn checking Antique Ali severely checking Miss Somerton and Babel. Perfect Product and On The Duck collided on the first turn. Babel checked off Miss Somerton entering the home straight.

Impending was quick to begin.  Rose's Honey was slow to begin.  Claydon and West Of Westeros collided on the first turn checking West Of Westeros. Sandy Gem and Leo Rose collided on the first turn.  Sandy Gem and Leo Rose collided in the back straight checking Leo Rose. West Of Westeros and Variation collided approaching the home turn. Rip Off Roslyn crossed out entering the home straight and checked off Variation and West Of Westeros. Sandy Gem raced wide in the home straight.

Following the event Leo Rose displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS).  As a result the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards advised trainer, Mrs. Sharon-Lee Chignell that Leo Rose would be closely monitored in future event.

Angel Eyes – Late scratching at 8.43am when trainer, Ms Carolyn Jones reported the greyhound to have an injury (soreness) (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Jupiter, Aston Rosa and Dr. Knuckles collided soon after the start checking Aston Rosa.  Aston Jupiter, Dr. Lynch and Mario Vest Only collided on the first turn checking Dr. Lynch, Dr. Carmel and Too Be Sure. Dr. Lynch and Too Be Sure collided on the home turn. Dr. Carmel raced wide on the home turn. Aston Rosa and Mario Vest Only collided entering the home straight.

Hook Along Book was quick to begin.  Delancy Bale and Rumour File were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Hook Along Book, Massimo and Aston Nino collided on the first turn checking Hook Along Book and Massimo. Delancy Bale and Rumour File collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Ha Ha Magoo, Massimo and Hook Along Book collided on the third turn checking Hook Along Book and Ha Ha Magoo.  Ha Ha Magoo and Lethal Hawk collided approaching the home turn.  Hook Along Book and Delancy Bale collided on the home turn.

Stack and Jet Lee Rose collided on the first turn.  Madalia Champ, Lara's Love and Maxwell collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Lara's Love checked off Maxwell on the first turn. Lara's Love raced wide on the home turn.

Mirror Illusion was slow to begin.  Masters On Metro, Dr. Bronte, Elswyk Suzie and Somerton Rose collided soon after the start checking Dr. Bronte. Dr. Bronte, Elswyk Suzie and Somerton Rose collided on the first turn checking Elswyk Suzie and severely checking Dr. Bronte which contacted the running rail.  Masters On Metro and Mirror Illusion collided on the first turn causing Masters On Metro to gallop on Mirror Illusion checking both greyhounds.  Masters On Metro and Somerton Rose collided approaching the home turn.

Dr. Bronte underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
