Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Buffet Destroyer.
Inga Ollie was quick to begin. Tron was slow to begin.
Swift By Design and Rollo Ragnar collided in the front straight. Joking Bear and Buffet Destroyer collided on the first turn. Joking Bear checked off Buffet Destroyer approaching the second turn checking Rollo Ragnar. Joking Bear checked off Rollo Ragnar approaching the third turn. Buffet Destroyer visibly eased and turned its head inwards entering the home straight and in the home straight. Buffet Destroyer and Inga Ollie collided approaching the winning post checking Buffet Destroyer.
Buffet Destroyer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left pectoral muscle and right triangle muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Ms Kayla Cottrell regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Buffet Destroyer was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Cottrell pleaded guilty to the charge, Buffet Destroyer was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
