Steward's Report
Cool Bourbski, Sovereign Wind, Weblec Diamond, Dinkydi Asset and Magnussen collided soon after the start checking Dinkydi Asset, Weblec Diamond and Sovereign Wind. Magnussen, Cool Bourbski and Neymar Junior collided entering the front straight checking Cool Bourbski and Neymar Junior. Weblec Diamond checked off Sovereign Wind on the third turn. Weblec Diamond and Cool Bourbski collided entering the back straight. Dinkydi Asset and Sovereign Wind collided on the fourth turn checking both greyhounds. Weblec Diamond and Neymar Junior collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Weblec Diamond and Neymar Junior collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Weblec Diamond underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left foreleg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Representative Mr. James Shaw was spoken to regarding the racing manners of Weblec Diamond entering the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Shaw, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations a warning was issued.
A post-race sample was taken from Mepunga Isla - winner of the event.
