Spot On Cinta and Stretch Butler were quick to begin. Smooth Talker was slow to begin.
Lightning Fury and Hook Along Mint collided on the first turn. Hook Along Mint faltered on the second turn and pulled up as a result. Smooth Talker and Spot On Cinta collided on the second. Smooth Talker and Lightning Fury collided approaching the home turn.
Hook Along Mint underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock dislocation. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
