The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 22.0 degrees, and the kennel temperature was 17.90 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Shining Ellie - Late scratching at 9:28am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr Mark Hetherton, was fined $100.

Broken Boots and Electric Zulu collided several times at the 250m mark. Electric Zulu and Liam's Lion collided approaching the 50m mark. In My Pocket raced erratically approaching the 50m mark.

Liam's Lion underwent a post-race veterinary examination, at the trainer's request, and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

In My Pocket underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Dominic Crisafi regarding the racing manners of In My Pocket approaching the 50m mark. After hearing evidence from Mr Crisafi, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the 50m mark.

Gemma Rapid - New declared weight of 31.2kg, last raced at 32.6kg.

Robber Prince turned its head inward and visibly eased soon after the start. Amber's Whiskey crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Robber Prince, Double Up and Aston Belair. Robber Prince and Double Up collided at the 250m mark. Bundy Run checked off Amber's Whiskey approaching the 200m mark. Robber Prince and Double Up collided at the 200m mark. Robber Prince turned its head outward at the 150m mark.

Robber Prince underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr Michael Heydon, regarding the greyhound's racing manners soon after the start and at the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Robber Prince was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Heydon pleaded guilty to the charge, Robber Prince was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Hadley crossed to the outside soon after the start. Kid James and Tibetan collided soon after the start.

Maximum Capers was slow to begin. Golden Charm went up with the lids and was slow to begin.

Veritee Bale and Maximum Capers collided at the 200m mark checking both greyhounds. Blackjack Cougar and Perfect Flossy collided approaching the winning post checking Blackjack Cougar.

Kody Talks and Luca's Entity collided approaching the 275m mark. Kody Talks and Full Moon Fever collided at the 200m mark. Luca's Entity faltered at the 150m mark and tailed off as a result. Kody Talks and Full Moon Fever collided approaching the 50m mark. Untested, Kody Talks and Full Moon Fever collided approaching the winning post.

Luca's Entity underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right back muscle and the right pencil muscle. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Laxman and Loud And Rowdy collided at the 200m mark checking Laxman, Loud And Rowdy, Front Bar and Witchie's Gas. Loud And Rowdy checked off Front Bar at the 150m mark.
