Steward's Report
Castle Black was a late scratching at 11:35AM due to weight variation (GAR 39), a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Cameron Bahen was fined the sum of $100.
Big Dunc and Captain Cotchie were slow to begin. Tenacious Tilly and Polished Steel collided soon after the start. Starzar Diamonds collided several times approaching the 250mtr mark. Tenacious Tilly checked off Riley Boy at the 250mtr mark.
Stewards noted that the muzzle of Big Dunc became dislodged soon after the start.
Captain Cotchie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right sartorius, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Douglas Wheeler, the Trainer of the greyhound Captain Cotchie. Stewards deemed the performance of Captain Cotchie unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Captain Cotchie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
