Steward's Report
Zatanna Bale, Allen Warlock, Zipping Chad and El Chana were slow to begin. Oh Kay Reg and Allen Warlock collided soon after the start. Allen Warlock and Mad Mack collided approaching the first turn. Emma Lou Fozz and Zipping Chad collided on the first turn. Oh Kay Reg crossed to the outside approaching the second turn, eased and checked Zatanna Bale as a result. Oh Kay Reg eased in the back straight checking Zatanna Bale; Oh Kay Reg and Zatanna Bale tailed off as a result. Oh Kay Reg eased in the home straight checking Zatanna Bale several times.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Ward, the representative of the greyhound Oh Kay Reg. Oh Kay Reg was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to it's left triangle and right hamstring. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Oh Kay Reg with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Zatanna Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
