Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

El Rey Leon was slow to begin.  Dr. Topaz checked off Dr. Santiago approaching the first turn checking Dr. Topaz, El Rey Leon and Dr. Francisco.  Dr. Santiago and Chase The Magic collided on the first turn checking Chase The Magic.  Trout clipped the heels of Scorching Sun on the first turn.  Dr. Francisco, El Rey Leon and Dr. Topaz collided on the first turn checking Dr. Francisco.  El Rey Leon checked off Trout on the home turn.  Dr. Santiago and Whistling Bullet collided in the home straight.  Scorching Sun and El Rey Leon collided approaching the winning post.

Dr. Santiago underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Gill, the representative of Dr. Santiago and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

In accordance with LR22 Mr. Steven Healey was issued with a warning regarding his non-compliance with the GRV Dress Code.

Classic Paws was slow to begin.  Akina Bear was very slow to begin.  End Game and Double Eclipse collided approaching the first turn checking End Game.  Classic Paws crossed in on the first turn checking Double Eclipse, End Game and Akina Bear.  Classic Paws checked off Lucero on the first turn.  Lucero and Classic Paws collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Lucero and End Game collided in the home straight.  Kutcher's Ruslie and End Game collided approaching the winning post.

It's A Date and Miss Demonica were quick to begin.  It's A Date and Miss Demonica collided soon after the start checking It's A Date.  Miss Demonica and Claydon collided several times from approaching the first turn to the first turn checking Miss Demonica.  It's A Date and Shanlyn Spot raced wide in the home straight.

Splinter underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind triangle muscle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Zambora Bear - Late scratching at 4.49pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Lee Rowe was fined $100.

Jeda's Girl was quick to begin.  Dr. Rozzie and Madalia Ken were slow to begin.  Jeda's Girl and Dani Thrills collided on the first turn checking Jeda's Girl, Dr. Rozzie and Cee Jay Ace.  Dani Thrills and Madalia Ken collided in the home straight checking Dani Thrills.  Dr. Rozzie and Cee Jay Ace collided several times in the home straight.

Jeda's Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing on the left hind foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Nera Enough, Leo Rose and Wild Card were slow to begin.  Steamy Jack, Wild Card and Zipping Pink collided on the first turn checking Wild Card.  Nera Enough and Leo Rose collided on the first turn checking Leo Rose severely checking Nera Enough.  Leo Rose checked off Steamy Jack entering the back straight.  Steamy Jack and Zipping Pink collided in the back straight checking Steamy Jack.  Steamy Jack contacted the running rail approaching the second turn.  Zipping Pink visibily eased and turned it's head outwards and collided with Judge Hook causing Judge Hook and Zipping Pink to race wide approaching the home turn and on the home turn.  Nera Enough raced wide on the home turn checking Zipping Pink and Judge Hook.

Steamy Jack underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind triangle muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Pink underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to the representative Ms. D. Coleman, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Zipping Pink was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms. Coleman pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Pink must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Wild Card - the winner of the event.

The start of this event was delayed by 4 1/2 minutes due to the trainer of Got Girl falling at the starting boxes.  All greyhounds were vetted and cleared to race.

Got Girl was quick to begin.  Somerton Osprey, Big Coin Buddy and Pop Rock collided soon after the start.  Big Coin Buddy contacted the running rail on the first turn and collided with Pop Rock checking Big Coin Buddy.  Somerton Osprey and Black Panda collided on the first turn checking Somerton Osprey.  Big Coin Buddy raced wide in the home straight.

Big Coin Buddy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Aston Vuitton underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Deborah Coleman requested an early race endorsement for Charging Yaala. The endorsement was approved for Charging Yaala after an examination prior to racing by the on-track veterinarian. Stewards direct the greyhound compete in Early Races only until further notice.

Zipping Trent was slow to begin.  Charging Yaala checked off Dusty Fever on the first turn.  Dusty Fever and Sizzle Fly collided on the first turn checking Dusty Fever.  Dusty Fever and Charging Yaala collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Charging Yaala faltered approaching the home turn and lost ground.

Charging Yaala underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp) Charging Yaala must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
