Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations

Arancini underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Melanistic, Now And Then and Stride For Pride were slow to begin.

Shady Talks, Melanistic and Now And Then collided soon after the start. Shanlyn Spot and Stride For Pride collided soon after the start. Boes Bounty and Serious One collided at the 150m mark. Shanlyn Spot checked off Serious One at the 100m mark.

Rock In Rio, Banjo Plato and Armani Arby were slow to begin.

Banjo Plato and Armani Ruby collided soon after the start. Hello Goodnight checked off Rock In Rio soon after the start. Kalter and Lady Kin Lee collided at the 300m mark.

Southern Edge, Tinker Bess and Golden Years collided soon after the start. Angry Answer checked off As Only Is approaching the 150m mark.

Manitoba underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right calf and an abrasion to the right thigh. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms Constance Mcmillan, the trainer of Tinker Bess regarding the greyhounds behaviour in the catching pen. Stewards deemed the behaviour to be unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71(A)(1)(d), Tinker Bess must perform a conditional Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted. Further, Ms Mcmillan must ensure that Tinker Bess wears a correctly fitted and approved anti-aggression muzzle.

Patricia Mary - Late scratching at 10.19am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an elevated temperature. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Jimmy Goes Bang was slow to begin.

Jimmy Goes Bang and Maddox Bale collided at the 150m mark. Maddox Bale checked off Precisely at the 50m mark. Jimmy Goes Bang checked off Precisely approaching the winning post.

Rim Of Fire and Ardmona Miss were slow to begin.

Skitz lost ground from the 200m mark. My Dark Rose and Ardmona Miss collided at the 50m mark.

Skitz underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Late Scratching - Hurricane Rose was a late scratching at 2.38pm by order of the Stewards. 

Diamond White was slow to begin.

Fairytale Ending and Diamond White collided several times from soon after the start to the 100m mark checking Fairytale Ending.

Stewards spoke to Mr Gary Edwards, the trainer of Hurricane Rose after he failed to ensure that the greyhound was wearing its approved racing gear.  Stewards took into account that the greyhound had recently entered his kennels and considered the fact that an endorsement may have been missed by Mr Edwards due to procedural changes as a result of COVID-19. Mr Edwards was issued a warning and asked to be more vigilant in future when new greyhounds enter his kennels.

Regal Duke was quick to begin. Inter Rose was slow to begin.

Regal Duke and Tex Burger collided at the 250m mark. Peaked checked off Crackerjack Mick at the 150m mark. Regal Duke checked off Tennyson Girl at the 100m mark.

Taylor Jayde underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right nostril. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
