Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Mandalo and Invincible Night were slow to begin. 

Mick's Bella and Aston Adonis collided soon after the start. Invincible Night raced wide on the first turn. Mandalo raced wide approaching the second turn. Princess Poppy checked off Mandalo entering the back straight. Princess Poppy and Invincible Night collided several times on the third turn severely checking Princess Poppy and causing Invincible Night to fall; My Bro Lucky was checked as a result. Mandalo turned its head to the outside and collided with Dr. Mick on the home turn. Mandalo and Dr. Mick collided several times in the home straight. 

Invincible Night underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Mandalo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle and right triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative Mrs Lisa Delbridge, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Mandalo was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mrs Delbridge pleaded not guilty to the charge, Mandalo was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Dr. Mumma - the winner of the event. 

Ultra Lightbeam was quick to begin. Deadly Walk was slow to begin. Think Big Harry was very slow to begin (3 Lengths).

Flying Brae and Luther collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Deadly Walk and Luther collided on the first turn. Flying Brae checked off Cudgee's Jayne on the first turn. Flying Brae checked off Kratos Bale approaching the second tun. 

Think Big Harry underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a dislocated right fore toe. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Motor City Tiger was slow to begin. 

Yeah Easy and Curly Top collided approaching the first turn. Hostile Savage, Curly Top and Motor City Tiger collided on the first turn. Curly Top and Motor City Tiger collided approaching the second turn checking Hostile Savage which raced wide as a result. Curly Top checked off Motor City Tiger approaching the second turn. Yeah Easy and Motor City Tiger collided approaching the third turn. 

Enter The Son was slow to begin.

Pride Into Power checked off Lights Action on the first turn and collided with Karma Bale and Enter The Son, severely checking Pride Into Power. Karma Bale and Bromley collided approaching the second turn and on the second turn checking Karma Bale. Pride Into Power and Karma Bale collided entering the back straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mepunga Holly.

Smooth Talker was slow to begin. 

Sunset Bourbski and Close Your Eyes collided on the first turn severely checking Sunset Bourbski. Smooth Talker checked off Spyglass on the first turn checking Mepunga Holly. Smooth Talker and Close Your Eyes collided on the third turn. Sunset Bourbski and I'm A Krakouer collided approaching the home turn. I'm A Krakouer tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Queen Harriet and Summer Lights collided soon after the start. Shima Tune and Queen Harriet collided soon after the start checking Queen Harriet. Queen Harriet, Summer Lights, Rockstar Quinn and Jagger's Joss collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking Queen Harriet, Summer Lights and Rockstar Quinn. Queen Harriet and Summer Lights collided approaching the second turn. Charlie Bale and Sugar Maple collided on the second turn. Rockstar Quinn clipped the heels of Sugar Maple on the third turn checking Rockstar Quinn. Jagger's Joss galloped on Charlie Bale on the third turn checking Charlie Bale. Summer Lights, Rockstar Quinn and Sugar Maple collided approaching the home turn. Charlie Bale and Jagger's Joss collided on the home turn. Shima Tune stumbled on the home turn and lost considerable ground. 

Shima Tune underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Representative Mr Jake Loverso declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Jake Loverso, the kennel representative of Shima Tune regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, therefore acting in accordance with GAR 71, Shima Tune must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted. Further, the Stewards also spoke Kennel Represenitive Mr Tom Dailly and requested connections to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Shima Tune in the event which was not noted by Stewards during the event under GAR 75.

Supplementary Report: On Thursday 9 July 2020, Mr Tom Dailly advised Stewards that Shima Tune has been scheduled for a full Veterinary examination on 10 July 2020 to scope Shima Tune for any injuries, which will include x-rays. Of note, Shima Tune returned to racing in April 2020 from a fractured a scapula in January 2020. Further advice, post the veterninary exam on 10 July, has been requested by Stewards.

Further Supplementary Advice: On Friday 10 July 2020, the Stewards received further advice on Shima Tune from Dr Desmond Fagan in that he  identified Shima Tune to have a torn medial ligament in the right side shoulder that would in-turn require around a month to rehabilitate the injury.

Dissociative, Lektra Desire and Cloncurry Girl collided soon after the start. Lektra Desire and Jebrynah Octave collided on the first turn. Could Be Magic and Speedy Spyro collided on the home turn. Speedy Spyro and Cloncurry Girl collided entering the home straight. Could Be Magic and Say Hi collided approaching the winning post. 

Lektra Desire underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a laceration on the left hind toe. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Gypsy Yankee and Jaro Bale collided soon after the start.  Gladioli Bale and Max Tractor collided approaching the first turn. Ellias Bale checked off Ouzo on the first turn. Max Tractor and Gyspy Bale collided on the first turn. Jaro Bale and Ouzo Bale collided on the home turn. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Midget Rocks.

Chelsea's Love was quick to begin. 

Midget Rocks and Punk Lass Rocks collided on the first turn. Chelsea's Love and Cornish Pixie collided on the first turn. Punk Lass Rocks galloped on Midget Rocks approaching the home turn. Midget Rocks and Punk Lass Rocks collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight. 

Cruyff underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey, left chest and left grouin muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Dewana Chic and Fran Joe were slow to beign. 

Caveman Yap, Dewana Degoey and Grime Time Zeus collided on the first turn. Galloping Occy and Dewana Chic collided in the front straight. Teardrop and Caveman Yap collided on the second turn. Galloping Occy and Dewana Chic collided on the second turn. Fran Joe raced wide on the third turn. Galloping Occy and Dewana Chic collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds. 

A sample was taken from Spot On Mick upon arrival at the course.

Mick's Kimmy, Suited Kings and Dewana Step were slow to begin. 

Self Assured and Teddy Too collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Self Asssured, Spot On Mick and Suited Kings collided on the first turn checking Spot On Mick, Suited Kings and Dewana Step. 

Destini Catalina was quick to begin. 

Oscar The Scout and Drogheda County collided on the first turn. Oscar The Scout, Drogheda County and Railway Burra collided on the first turn checking Drogheda County and Railway Burra.
