In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 27.7 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.5 degrees.

Ruby Arizona and Believer were quick to begin. Upright and Kris Le Cashew collided soon after the start checking Upright. Diamond Socks checked off Believer on the first turn checking Sense Of Wonder. Kris Le Cashew and Darwin O'Connor collided approaching the home turn. Upright and Diamond Socks collided approaching the home turn. Upright checked off Ruby Arizona in the home straight.

Lead The Parade and Laughed A Lot collided soon after the start. Lead The Parade and Laughed A Lot collided approaching the home turn. Repossession tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Repossession underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Manning the trainer of Repossession. Mr. Manning stated that the greyhound was returning from being in season. After hearing Mr. Manning's submissions and acting on Stewards own observations, no further action was taken.

Shooters Ali was slow to begin.

Aaron's Me Boy and Quattro Miss collided on the first turn checking Aaron's Me Boy and Shooters Ali. Shooters Ali checked off Aaron's Me Boy in the back straight. Aaron's Me Boy and Wishly Bale collided on the second turn.

Ultimate Amadeus was quick to begin. Hagrid Grange and Blue Addition collided soon after the start. Scissor King, Clovally Granite, Bump's Nugget and Ocean Star collided on the first turn checking Bump's Nugget and Ocean Star; Bump's Nugget galloped on Ocean Star as a result. Hagrid Grange checked off Jacki Jai on the first turn. Hagrid Grange checked off Ocean Star on the first turn checking Bump's Nugget and Blue Addition. Bump's Nugget raced wide on the home turn. Ultimate amadeus tired approaching the winning post.

Crystal Bling – Late scratching at 8:34am when Mr. B. Kantzisis reported the greyhound to have an illness(GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Another Bling – Late scratching at 8:33am when Mr. G. Kantzidis reported the greyhound to have an illness(GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.  

Sukhoi Su - Late scratching at 13:45 due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms. J. Worsfold was fined $100.

Zipping Oliver underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.

My Victoria and Onya Nelly collided on the first turn and again in the back straight checking My Victoria. Crackerjack Jase and Onya Nelly collided approaching the home turn. Crackerjack Jase lost ground in the home straight. Onya Nelly and Zipping Oliver collided approaching the winning post.

Crackerjack Jase underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race eight. Crackerjack Jase was found to have a right deltoid injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Flying Jamaica, Kinloch Journey, Maximum Trina and College Prince collided on the first turn checking Maximum Trina. Flying Jamaica and Maximum Trina collided approaching the second turn. Maximum Trina and Crackerjack Daza collided on the second turn. Buddy Goes Bang and College Prince collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn.

Lennie's Flyer and Al's Vixen collided on the first turn. Al's Vixen clipped the heels of Bolshoi Ballet on the second turn causing Bolshoi Ballet to fall, severely checking Al's Vixen and Big Papi.

Bolshoi Ballet underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury and injuries to both calfs and left hock. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Lektra Fireball – New declared weight of 35.8kg, last raced at 37.1kg.

Crackerjack Tys was slow to begin. Clark Road and Clovally Mansumi collided soon after the start checking Clovally Mansumi. Lektra Fireball, Clark Road and Hadeel Bale collided on the first turn. Olson Bale and Fran Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Olson Bale. Olsen Bale and Clovally Mansumi collided approaching the home turn checking Clovally Mansumi. Hadeel Bale and Olson Bale collided on the home turn.

Mr. B. Grenfell failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Tiggerlong Rebel for racing. Mr. Grenfell was issued a warning pursuant to GAR 46 (2)

Berringa Blue was slow to begin. Take The Lead and Silver Bronx collided approaching the first turn. Berringa Blue galloped on the heels of Silver Bronx on the first turn severely checking Silver Bronx. Anubis Al and Take The Lead collided approaching the home turn. Tiggerlong Rebel clipped the heels of Take The Lead in the home straight. Berringa Blue galloped on the heels of Tiggerlong Rebel in the home straight.

Brindle Delight - Late scratching at 17:18 on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to dehydration. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Crown Nikki and Aston Cinnamon collided soon after the start checking Crown Nikki. Aston Coopers checked off According on the first turn and collided with Ragged Warrior, checking Ragged Warrior.

Ragged Warrior underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left calf muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Plain Name was slow to begin.

Plain Name and Filorga Bale collided approaching the home turn. Rose Fawn clipped the heels of Filorga Bale approaching the home turn. Rose Fawn checked off Plain Name in the home straight.

Gallant Toby was slow to begin.

Sprite Halo, Kraken Courage and Chill Out Isla collided soon after the start checking Sprite Halo. Aston Eureka and Kraken Courage collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Eureka and severely checking Tiggerlong Al. Sprite Halo and Chill Out Isla collided on the first turn. Tiggerlong Al, Sprite Halo and Chill Out Isla collided on the first turn checking Chill Out Isla and Tiggerlong Al. Gallant Toby checked off Uncle Rico entering the home straight.

Uncle Rico – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52.
