Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Hook Along Patch and Lucero were slow to begin.

Jazzier underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock fracture.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Darnum Dozer, Salut Bianca and Select Charlie were slow to begin.

Gunner's Hawk – Late scratching at 7.43am when Mrs R. Kerr reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Montanaro was slow to begin.

Prince Archer went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Wow Anna crossed in on the first turn checking Patricia Mary, Prince Archer and Gunmandu.  Montanaro and Montaro collided on the first turn checking Montaro.  Montaro and Prince Archer collided on the home turn.  

Avenger Spolly and One Babe were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Inga Mikey and Avenger Spolly collided approaching the first turn.  Cullquin Freya clipped the heels of Razor Roy on the first turn.  Cracked Soda and Avenger Spolly collided on the home turn.  One Babe checked off Blazin' Hawk on the home turn checking Peace Of Mind.  

Xericom Bale was quick to begin. 

Dundee Prince and Why Woodleigh collided soon after the start. Hello Goodnight, Aston Vuitton and Xericom Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Aston Vuitton and Xericom Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Vuitton.  Hello Goodnight checked off Xericom Bale on the first turn severely checking Hello Goodnight, Run To You and All Hollywood, causing All Hollywood to fall severely checking Aston Vuitton.  

Following the event All Hollywood was pronounced deceased by the On-Track Veterinarian. The greyhound was found to have suspected neck trauma.

Dynamic Ross and Midnight Storm were quick to begin.

Poison Gas, Victor Leone and Threadin' Mikado collided soon after the start checking Poison Gas and Victor Leone.  Poison Gas and Victor Leone collided on the first turn checking Poison Gas.  Boycey Road and Gokart Jiggs collided approaching the home turn checking Gokart Jiggs.  Poison Gas and Gokart Jiggs collided on the home turn checking Gokart Jiggs which lost ground as a result.  

Gokart Jiggs underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain and bruising/contusion to the right saphenous vein.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
